For Teachers

Art teachers not only provide their students with information on how to make art and think about art, but they also inspire their students to create. Click on the picture to the left to read about teacher Josh Rohan and other high school art teachers in California who put together an exhibit of their own art work. The purpose of the exhibit was to stress their love for the arts and the importance of keeping arts in the public school system. I think you will find their story inspiring.

The Internet can offer art teachers some wonderful resources to help them teach their students using a constructivist approach. An approach that can help the art teacher create a back and forth dialogue with their students discovering lesson plans that are more related to students lives, learning how to communicate better with their students, and a way to connect to the contemporary art that is being created today via on-line gallery and museum visits.  I have included some educational resources for the high school art teacher that I feel relate to the constructivist approach of Postmodern Art Learning Experiences. I hope these resources are as inspiring and helpful to you as I found them.
